Can I answer the door on my mobile phone?
Yes, with app-connected models. Calls from the door reach your phone over the internet, so you can see and speak to a visitor when you are away. It needs a steady Wi-Fi signal at the indoor monitor, which we check on the survey.
Can the door phone open my gate or door?
Yes, if the door has an electric lock or the gate has a motor. A release button on the indoor monitor then opens it. We can fit the electric lock at the same time — it is far easier during installation than afterwards.
Can I have monitors on more than one floor?
Yes. Most systems take extra indoor monitors, so a call from the gate rings on the ground floor and upstairs, and some let you talk between monitors like an intercom.
Do you install door phones for whole apartment blocks?
Yes. A multi-flat panel at the main entrance calls each flat's monitor, and residents can release the entrance door. We check existing wiring and ducts first, as older buildings may need new cable runs.
Where should the outdoor panel be mounted?
At about face height, sheltered from rain and out of strong backlight, so faces show clearly and not as silhouettes. We decide the exact spot on site after looking at the light at that entrance.
