How many cameras do I need?
Count the entrances, exits and areas you actually need to see — gate, main door, parking, billing counter, stock room. Most homes need two to four cameras and most shops four to eight. We confirm the number on the site assessment so you do not pay for cameras that duplicate each other.
Wired or wireless CCTV — which is better?
Wired cameras are more reliable and suit most homes and businesses. Wireless cameras make sense where running cable is difficult, such as rented or finished interiors, but they depend on a steady Wi-Fi signal at each camera.
Will CCTV work without Wi-Fi or internet?
Yes. Wired cameras record to the DVR or NVR on site without any internet. You only need internet to watch the cameras on your phone when you are away.
Can I watch the cameras on my mobile?
Yes. We set up the viewing app on Android or iPhone during installation and show you how to watch live, play back and save a clip.
How much storage do I need?
It depends on the number of cameras, their resolution and how many days you want to keep. We size the hard disk for your system so you know how many days of footage it will hold before you buy.
How long does installation take?
A typical home or shop system with two to eight cameras is usually installed in a day. Larger sites take longer; we give you a working plan after the assessment.
